This is a limited-edition build based off a classic 1959 Telecaster in a beautiful aged White Blonde finish. The Journeyman Relic work features some light finish checking and normal signs of wear and tear. It's a very respectful aging process that gives it the look of an old guitar that's been well-cared for.

From vintage feel to vintage tone, this is the best way to get as close as possible to what that classic, rosewood-board '59/'60 Tele vibe (a la Robben Ford) was like without having to crack open the piggy bank for something that is over 60 years old. The guitar plays phenomenally well. The sanded down back of the neck is absolutely amazing, and is nothing short of pure joy for your fretting hand. The sound of the hand-wound '58 pickups is bright and vocal-like with plenty of twang in the top end. The neck pickup is rich, warm, and lush; perfect for beautiful lead lines. The bridge pickup gets you all the treble you could need, but without being overly piercing.

It doesn't get much better than this if you're after a modern version of a vintage axe. The best of the best over at the Fender Custom Shop put their meticulous attention to detail on full display with this guitar.

By the late 1950s, the Telecaster had firmly established its reputation as the premier workhorse guitar, but for the player seeking a guitar with the versatility of a Tele and a more distinct personality, the choices were few and far between. Enter the Telecaster Custom, which debuted in 1959, sporting an elegant double-bound body and alluring rosewood fingerboard – both firsts for the Telecaster. The Limited Edition 1959 Telecaster boasts the same refined look as the original, along with some rare and compelling features from the Tele's formative years that we felt modern players and vintage tone hounds alike would appreciate. It comes equipped with hand-wound '58 Tele single-coil pickups and Fat '50s wiring for wide-open Tele tone that can easily handle any playing situation. The neck features a vintage 7.25" radius.
