The old-school singlecut Gretsch archtops will always have a special place in our hearts. We're excited to offer this gorgeous Players Edition Broadkaster Jr. guitar in Ivory white, arguably the most iconic Gretsch color! This one keeps things a little more understated with chrome hardware, along with keeping it classy and striking with a sweet tortoiseshell pickguard. The walnut stain back also adds some really nice contrast. Playability-wise, this one is also a little bit smaller than the flagship Gretsch axes, making it feel a bit more similar to a typical solidbody electric.

The Players Edition guitars are a great offering in the Gretsch line that offers a Custom Shop level of quality without the hefty price tag. The feel and overall build quality are definitely that of a high-end guitar, and the tone is every bit as stellar. The neck feels great and the fretwork is as good as you would expect on this level of guitar.

The Full'Tron Filtertron pickups on this guitar sound absolutely killer. Like most Gretsch pickups, hey have a very distinct chime to them that combine well with the hollowbody construction for genres like classic rock n' roll, blues, rockabilly, jazz and country, but this particular set is a bit hotter and can handle higher levels of overdrive and distortion better than their vintage counterparts.

Gretsch's time-honored "Broadkaster" name now adorns the flagship guitars of its center block lineup, crafted for full-spectrum sound at high volume with powerful new pickups and a chambered spruce center block that enhances body resonance for more organic tone and comfortably lighter weight.

For big sound in a small package, the G6659T Players Edition Broadkaster Jr. Center Block with Bigsby features a slightly smaller single-cutaway body for greater comfort, tonal focus and feedback resistance. Two new U.S.-made Full'Tron pickups deliver full-spectrum sonic range with a growl unlike any other pickup, in addition to classic Gretsch chime, balance and brilliance with a dash of extra-mid concentration for powering through overdriven and distorted passages at full volume.

The G6659T is available in three fashionable Gretsch finishes — Round-Up Orange with matching headcap and tortoise pickguard, Two-Tone Ivory/Walnut Stain with tortoise pickguard and Walnut Stain headcap, or Two-Tone Smoke Green with Smoke Green pickguard and headcap. All finishes feature nickel hardware.
