Traditional Jazzmaster pickups ‘capture’ a larger portion of the string than most pickups, thanks to their size—this is what gives Jazzmaster pickups their famous high-definition sound. V-Mod Jazzmaster® pickups are powered by alnico 5 magnets; taller coils and magnets create a narrower wire bundle, producing a punchy, more mid-focused sound that’s a natural match for today’s tonalities while remaining articulate.
