Fender. A name that has been pretty much synonymous with the electric guitar & bass since the mid-20th century. From Stratocaster guitars to Precision basses, Telecasters to Jazz basses, funky-fresh offsets & classic tube amps, to even acoustics and effects pedals, Fender has more than made their mark on music history - and we continue to do our part to further that legacy with our vast Fender inventory here at Pitbull Audio!

All of the guitarists and bassists here at the shop have owned a Fender guitar, bass or amp at one point or another - several of us, multiple - and we’re pretty sure you have as well. You should be no stranger to the classic tone and timeless, player-friendly design that Fender instruments offer. From the most humble Squier Sonic entry-level Strat to the most elite Custom Shop Masterbuilt heirloom piece, we’re proud to carry an incredible selection of Fender & Squier guitars, basses, amps & accessories and continue to be one of Fender’s top independent dealers.

Squier, Fender’s entry-level brand, has remained the most popular choice on the market for guitar & bass beginners. Their price, ease of use and accessibility, and familiarity have all contributed to their status as one of the foremost gold standards in this category. The new Sonic series is the newest iteration of the long-standing Bullet series for beginners, and brings awesome new features and specs normally only found on higher-end instruments at an unparalleled price point. We have the whole line! Another popular choice that has held up amazingly over the years is the more mid-level Classic Vibe series, which brings features and finishes from Fender’s high-end vintage reissues to the more budget-conscious player. These are just awesome - we’re fully confident in putting a Classic Vibe Strat or P-Bass head-to-head with the higher-end stuff and it holding up well, and we’re sure you will be too! Another awesome Squier offering we love having in the shop is the Paranormal series, which mixes and matches features from various Fender models into unorthodox combinations, like a Paranormal Nashville Strat - a lot of these have no Fender equivalent and can only be found in the Squier range. Super cool! These guitars are no joke.

Moving on up a level to Fender proper, we have the “Made in Mexico” line of Fender guitars & basses. In the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, Fender established a factory in Ensenada, beginning production on what would become some of the most universally owned and loved Fender guitars in the company’s history - a combination of affordability and quality unparalleled for many years. Currently, the “MIM” line includes instant classics such as the Player & Player Plus series, the present iteration of the long-running “Standard” model, as well as the absolutely incredible Vintera II line, vintage reissues and inspired-by instruments with incredible specs for the price point. Along with a good handful of artist signature guitars, Fender Mexico is thriving right now, bringing you some of the best budget-friendly gig-ready instruments and vintage-faithful reissues on the market. And we have them all!

Up next, we have Fender’s flagship line, their Pride and Joy - the American series, built right here in Southern California out of their Corona facility. Between modern workhorses like the Performer, Professional II, and Ultra series (the newest versions of the renowned American Special, American Standard and American Deluxe lines, respectively) as well as the most dead-on accurate, production-line vintage Fender reissues yet, the American Vintage II collection, Fender is putting out some of their best American-made guitars ever right now. Fender guitar & bass designs have inspired many other brands & builders, but time and time again, the company that started it all proves why they’re so special. And we’d also go as far as to say Fender’s current roster of signature artists is the strongest it’s ever been, both in talent and in signature model variety. Some of our favorite USA artist signature instruments here at the shop include the amazing Juanes and Cory Wong Stratocasters, the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, and the Jim Root Jazzmaster. The lineup spans so many different genres, and both the instruments and the artists themselves are inspiring to listen to.

And now, for the absolute best of the best… Fender’s lauded and historic Custom Shop guitars. This Corona workshop is truly the stuff of legends, having equal reputation for providing players the opportunity to spec out the ultimate Fender guitar they can dream up as well as working directly with some of the greatest artists in music history to construct their trusty tools of the trade. Beginning with Eric Clapton’s signature Strat, FCS’ history is as rich and storied as the musicians who have played their instruments. And as premier Fender dealers, we’re proud to carry some of these incredible axes. We have a great selection of FCS guitars and basses in stock, from the aforementioned artist signature models like the Michael Landau 1963 Strat and the Pino Palladino P-Bass, to special Dealer Event limited-edition models, to totally custom stuff that the Fender fans on the Pitbull staff have dreamt up. We’ve also been honored to carry a number of Masterbuilt instruments, personally hand-built by some of the top luthiers to grace the industry. We’ve had otherworldly guitars built by the likes of Yuriy Shishkov, Paul Waller, and Greg Fessler, just to name a few. And of course, we also offer the opportunity to work with us to spec out YOUR dream Fender Custom Shop guitar or bass!

Last but certainly, absolutely not least, Fender’s guitar amps, effects, and accessories remain some of the most often-used gear in the business to this day. Fender amplifiers in particular have been used on literally countless recordings over the past century. Icons like the ‘50s Tweed amps and the mid-’60s black-panel series such as the Princeton, Deluxe, and Twin Reverb make up the very sound of electric guitar music. The old-school stuff is far from the only thing we carry, though - we’re huge fans of Fender’s innovation as well! The truly mind-blowing Tone Master series offers an ultra-convenient, cost-efficient way to access those classic tones, and their most recent additions like the Tone Master floor modeler pedal bring the timeless Fender sound into the 21st century and beyond. And we’re just along for the ride!
