D'Angelico has gained popularity with the contemporary guitarists of today for their ornate and full-featured instruments that bring antique guitar design aesthetic into the 21st century functionally, and rightfully so. Known for their stunning semi-hollow and hollowbody guitars, our friends at D'Angelico were gracious to send us this awesome limited-edition Deluxe Mini DC in a gorgeous Sage finish!

While similar in look and layout to the classic thinline semi-hollow guitar we all know and love, the reduced body size on the Deluxe Mini DC makes it more ergonomically friendly, now similar in size to a typical solidbody electric. That being said, D'Angelico absolutely managed to retain the distinct resonant voice that a semi-hollow construction provides. This guitar sustains fantastically both unplugged and through an amp.

Speaking of the latter, this guitar's electric tone is provided by a pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan Retrospec'd Antiquity pickups, which are a non-aged version of their renowned Antiquities. At their core, they're stellar PAF-style pickups that nail all the vintage humbucker tones you could ever want, both clean and with overdrive - warm and clear in the neck position, quacky, spanky and vocal-like in the middle position, and bitey and punchy in the bridge.
