Man, this thing is insane! Although the body shape and control layout of this Stephen Carpenter Signature ESP LTD 7-String may look traditional, that's where it ends. Opening the premium hard case is an experience out of the gate - to say the sleek, clean Black finish, matching headstock, and white pearl pickguard against the blacked-out hardware and ebony fretboard are eye-catching would be an understatement.

Despite its traditional T-style appearance, this extended range axe is supremely comfortable to play with the neck-through construction allowing for a nicely contoured neck heel and body. It also has a longer scale length so you can get extra low with baritone strings while maintaining a tight response under the fingers.

While based on a traditional shape, the SCT-607B is anything but old-school with its 7-string, 27” baritone scale and neck-thru-body construction. It features a comfortable alder body and a three-piece maple neck, with an unadorned Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. Its sound comes from a set of Stephen’s own signature Fishman Fluence pickups, with a ceramic pickup in the bridge and an alnico pickup in the middle position. These pickups have two voices, selectable with a push-pull volume control. Voice 1 (Modern Active) is Stephen’s midrange tweak on the original modern Fluence sound; Voice 2 (Modern Passive Attack) is Stephen’s custom voicing with some tone and gain tweaks to give it extra heat and edge.
