This unique Mayones Duvell Elite 6 in a totally wild Trans Graphite Satine finish is a pure weapon of tonal destruction. We've been proud to be Mayones dealers for several years now, and this guitar is a shining example as to why. The pure craftsmanship and attention to detail makes this axe feel like the finest European sports car.
The mind-blowing 3A Eye Poplar top on this thing is unlike anything we've ever seen. With elements of quilt, birdseye, and flame maple all in one, it needs nothing but a stained natural finish to stand out.
The modern 16" radius ebony fretboard and earthy-feeling Wenge neck plays lighting-fast up and down the neck and feels incredible in the hand, as with every Mayones instrument we have in. The bare wood-feeling Wenge/Purpleheart neck back in particular is a truly unique playing experience, as your hands seemingly glide over it effortlessly, in addition to looking awesome. The combination of Hipshot locking tuners and hardtail bridge offers supreme tuning stability, while the custom-wound, Mayones-exclusive Bare Knuckle TKO pickup set, while designed for high-gain chug, surprised the players here at the shop with their awesome clarity on clean settings, especially with the coil-split on the volume control. Of course, the TKOs excelled the most at distorted riffage, and we were very pleased with how both single notes and chords sounded huge without getting muddy.
For a truly one-of-a-kind axe with the looks, feel, and sound of a world-class instrument, this Mayones Duvell Elite 6 is a pick for the ages.
The aggressive shape of the Duvell Elite 6 evokes the now-iconic "Superstrat" vibe whilst retaining a unique modern vibe all its own. The silky-smooth Wenge/Purpleheart neck and ebony fretboard gives the guitar an effortless modern feel. Along with the simple controls and premium Hipshot and Schaller hardware, the star of the show is the Mayones-exclusive Bare Knuckle TKO pickup set, which combines an Alnico V neck humbucker with a ceramic bridge humbucker for a wide variety of tonal options, excelling particularly in a tight high-gain setting.
“When I visited NAMM 2014, I tried the prototype Duvell made for Misha, I fell in love right away. It was one of the most comfortable guitars I’ve ever played that sounded aggressive and tight, great the for the music I play. Mayones craft amongst the best guitars on the market today. Very unique instruments that have been given a lot of love during their build!” – John Browne / Monuments
“If you’re looking for an ultra-high quality metal machine that doesn’t skimp out on anything related to playability and tone, then the Duvell is for you! They aren’t cheap, but no quality instrument is ever going to be cheap. Personally, I rarely order new guitars, but I placed an order for a Duvell Elite with a pale moon ebony fretboard after playing this guitar. That should say enough.” – Wired Guitarist
“The attention to detail that Mayones put into every single one of their instruments is very apparent – it radiates from the tip of my Duvell’s headstock all the way down to the input jack. You need to hold one in your hands to really appreciate this level of craftsmanship.” – Luke Hoskin / Protest The Hero
