As premier Mayones dealers, we're very proud to offer up this Mayones Regius 7 Core Classic guitar in a gorgeous Dirty Blue Burst finish! The Regius line provides an excellent balance between classic design and modern tone. The 7-string neck feels absolutely amazing whether you're mainly a 6-string slinger or have been playing extended range guitars for a while. The idea behind this model is to still suit Mayones' tradition of aggressive tone and shredder guitars while keeping one foot in the more traditional and vintage tonal spectrum. The custom-wound, Mayones-exclusive Bare Knuckle TKO pickup set, while designed for high-gain chug, surprised the players here at the shop with their awesome clarity on clean settings, especially with the coil-split on the volume control. Of course, the TKOs excelled the most at distorted riffage, and we were very pleased with how both single notes and chords sounded huge without getting muddy, especially on the extended low B string.

While this guitar is still going to be a contemporary head-turner - I mean, just look at it! It's gorgeous! - the angles on the body, the gorgeously-done binding, and the flame maple archtop will feel more familiar to players accustomed to more traditional axes of old. This Regius Classic combines the best of vintage sensibilities with classy looks, modern playability, and hard-hitting tone.
