As a premier PRS Signature dealer, we are honored to bring you another unique and beautiful creation from our friends over at the Paul Reed Smith Private Stock department. There's never any question as to the quality of the instrument you're getting when you get any PRS guitar. But there's something magical with these Private Stocks and, at the end of the day, they're unique and simply unlike any other PRS guitar out there. For this one, we started with a Custom 24 in a truly intriguing combination of a natural finish with green resin accents.

The wood combination on this one is just nuts. We've got a full Swamp Ash body and neck, imparting the focused tone of the tonewood onto the entire instrument. And the top is something you really don't see all that often, if at all on a PRS - a truly striking Buckeye Burl top. The grain has so much going on that you may find yourself spending just as much time staring at it as playing it. And if that wasn't enough, the execution of the green accents throughout the top and the seamless integration of the green birds and headstock inlay is insane! This Custom 24 almost looks "radioactive" in the best way possible. 

For this one-of-a-kind build, we selected PRS's "Metal" pickups. As the name might imply, they are certainly a bit overwound, but they are far from being one-trick ponies. They obviously sound incredible with higher gain settings, but can also handle clean tones with ease. Rather than thinking of them as strictly "metal" pickups, they're really just slightly more aggressive sounding pickups than the 85/15s while retaining a lot of the same voicing. The swamp ash body and ebony fretboard add some nice brightness to the tone that further help it to cut through in a dense mix while playing with heavy distortion.

PRS's Private Stock guitars are the cream of the crop, of course. This one is a true masterpiece in every way.

This iconic instrument was the first model that Paul Reed Smith brought to the public at PRS Guitars’ first Winter NAMM show in 1985 and has been a top seller ever since.
