There's never any question as to the quality of the instrument you're getting when you get any PRS guitar. But there's something magical with these Private Stocks and, at the end of the day, they're unique and simply unlike any other PRS guitar out there. For this one, we started with a Hollowbody II in an absolutely stunning Dragon's Breath Glow.

The tonewoods look beautiful and sound amazing, and their effect on the tone is especially evident on a fully-hollow guitar. The woods were all hand-selected from the Private Stock wood vault. The Fiddleback Mahogany neck is almost reminiscent of flame-figured maple itself, but with the warm brown color and warmth of mahogany. The quilt maple top is beautifully bookmatched and looks like a raging fire. And to top it all off, this guitar, including the fretboard, is extravagantly adorned with Brazilian rosewood - the best of the best. The wood is as good as it gets!

The extravagant yet tastefully beautiful appearance pairs very nicely with the versatile and modern-sounding electronics here. The pickups are PRS's extremely popular 58/15 LT pickups. They're sort of like PRS's take on a PAF pickup, but with a bit more oomph and top-end clarity to it. We love the extra brightness and presence that these have and it really goes well with the tonewoods for this guitar. There's a perfect amount of brightness to cut through any mix, mid-range presence to retain articulation and definition, and tight bass response to give your guitar's voice fullness and some warmth. And if that's not enough, this guitar has an amazing LR Baggs piezo system to give you a range of acoustic-like tones, and it can also be mixed in with your magnetic tones to create some really beautiful, crisp, and crystal clear sounds.

With brilliant acoustics and a vast array of tones, the Hollowbody II has been a constant favorite in our dynamic lineup of hollow instruments. The combination of the maple top and back with mahogany sides provides tonal clarity and extraordinary resonance.

The LR Baggs/PRS Piezo System comes standard, providing musicians with the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric guitar tones in one instrument. There are two output jacks on the Hollowbody II Piezo, allowing guitarists to plug into their favorite electric guitar or acoustic guitar amp or DI into a soundboard. By utilizing the separate blend control, the tone of the Hollowbody II Piezo's 58/15 LT pickups can also be combined with acoustic sounds through a single output.
