LCT 1040

Imagine getting the perfect sound every time.

Like a painter who uses his color palette, the LCT 1040 gives you the power to create the sound you envision.

Record with premium sound from high-end components and 1" true condenser capsule
Create the perfect sound for different vocalists and instruments using 4 all-analog tube characteristics and a crystal-clear FET circuit
Adjust all settings from your sweetspot via the remote control

Developed in close cooperation with world-renowned engineers and producers.

During the development process of the LCT 1040, we set out to see Grammy award-winning engineers and producers in their fantastic studios to put our prototypes to the test in real-life conditions.

The additional feedback from the global audio community ranging from friendly appreciation to brutal honesty was exactly what we needed to bring this exciting project to perfection.

A wide range of outstanding tube tones with a single microphone.

  • Clear – Tube works at technical optimum
  • Warm – Smooth and pleasant high-end
  • Dark – Tamed highs for bright sources
  • Saturated – Rich harmonics and subtle compression

Together, these 100% all-analog tube characteristics are designed to cover all applications and styles recorded in the studio - from the finest violin to roaring Rock voices.

They are the result of our close cooperation with industry professionals and the global audio community.

Extra punch and precision with the blendable FET circuit.

Tweak your sound to perfection. You can dial in the FET circuit via the Circuit control whenever you're looking for that extra punch or precision for your voice or instrument.

Tweak all settings from your sweetspot via the remote control.

Set up the LCT 1040 in the recording room where the artist performs. Detach the remote control from the PSU and connect them via your standard 3-pin XLR cable. Now you can tweak all settings from your sweetspot via the remote control, ensuring a smooth-running session.

Save precious time, keep the creativity flowing, giving you exactly the sound you are looking for.

Seamless polar pattern control to get exactly what you want.

Set the directivity with the seamless polar pattern control of the LCT 1040, giving you exactly what you were looking for. Additionally, you can also freely define the front of the mic depending on your recording scenario.

  • Default sets the tube window as the front side of the mic.
  • Reverse sets the logo as the front of the mic.

Two XLR outputs for full flexibility in post production.

To prepare you for all possible scenarios, the LCT 1040 features two XLR outputs with Neutrik connectors.

  • The Mix output delivers the ratio set with the Circuit control, a combination of the tube and FET circuit.
  • The FET output delivers 100% pure FET independent from the Circuit control.

LCT 1040 development story

Everything outstanding starts with a strong vision.

Shock mount with carbon fiber elements and quick release mechanism.

Quick release mechanisms for the microphone and the adjustment of the angle.
Carbon fiber elements support efficient decoupling of the microphone.
Microphone can be turned by 360° when in shock mount.

Dual-layer magnetic pop filter for clean recordings.

The high-performance magnetic pop filter of the LCT 1040 protects your capsule from unwanted plosives and moisture. Its double-layer design perfectly integrates with the shock mount and ensures clean recordings with any vocalist or genre.

Heritage Audio HA73EQ Elite Head Amp Mic Preamp and EQ w/ Carnhill Transformers

The HA73EQ Elite is made to the same specifications as the acclaimed ´73JR, ´73EQJR and DMA73 Heritage Audio models at a price never heard before.

Leveraging the expertise and reputation obtained with its popular hand wired, extremely time-consuming hand soldered series, HA is able to offer a zero compromise, high quality yet very affordable alternative to the growing entry-level brands.

A combination of mass production, lean manufacturing and modern construction techniques, minimizes hand labor and therefore its high associated costs when manufacturing takes place in Western Europe. By passing the savings straight into the end users´ pockets, Heritage Audio releases the most affordable outboard preamps and equalizers in its class up to date.

Key components to obtain a true vintage sound are indeed maintained, like the industry standard Carnhill transformers, hand wound in St Ives, England.

Manufactured in the same Spanish facilities as the rest of the HA line of products, the HA73EQ Elite rack mountable mic preamp equalizer presents the complete classic recording channel that, for generations, has been regarded for its rich, musical qualities and its ability to dramatically improve the sound of almost any source.

No ´73 equalizer will present the correct equalization curves without high quality capacitors and, most importantly, correct “Vinkor” type pot core inductors. More than often this type of products have these expensive inductors replaced with generic ferrite core ones or, even worst, the mid band dual inductor replaced with a single one. Never in Heritage Audio products!!, as the impact of replacing these to the eq curves is dramatic, leading to incorrect curve´s shapes and high frequency phase distortion which in no way honor the design.

The HA73EQ Elite employs WIMA 5% capacitors in the EQ section as well as 3 correct vintage type “Vinkor“ pot core inductors so the eq curves are virtually undistinguishable from the handmade equalizers in the HA line. Customers can expect the same sonic quality and feel they have come to appreciate from Heritage Audio.

The HA73EQ’s preamp section features gain, output trim, -20db pad, polarity reverse, a high pass filter, and +48v phantom power. The HA73EQ’s EQ section features a high shelving EQ, midrange EQ, low shelving EQ, a variable high pass filter, and EQ Bypass,. The HA73EQ comes housed in a rugged 1RU British steel and aluminum chassis and utilizes an external power supply for low noise operation.
