Mayones Aquila Elite V24 S 6 Guitar, Ebony Fretboard, 4A Quilted Maple Top, Lava Burst Gloss

Here's another absolutely stunning Mayones Aquila Elite V24 S! Finished in a beautiful Lava Burst Gloss, this is a double-humbucker version of the Aquila that Mayones released in 2020. The new pickguard-less design shows off that gorgeous 4A quilt maple top very nicely.

The build quality is every bit what we've come to expect from Mayones - masterful from top to bottom. The fretwork is incredible, and the recessed Gotoh 510 tremolo allows for freakishly low action and a smooth response. The wenge neck feels silky-smooth, and the ebony fretboard adds some nice brightness to the acoustic voice of the guitar. The neck is super-fast to maneuver on, but is also not paper-thin. It has a bit of a more traditional C-shaped neck than many of Mayones' shred-oriented builds.

This Aquila features the phenomenal Chori bridge & Solium neck set. The Chori bridge pickup offers a more vintage-voiced edginess to it, a bit lower output but equally as rocking and features golden clarity in the highs. The Solium neck is smooth, warm, and rich, perfect for vocal-like lead tones and shimmering clean tones.

This is definitely not your father's S-style guitar - it's even better. If you want to get dirty with it, it can do that. If you want to clean it up, it'll handle that as well. Simply put, they've nailed it!
