PreSonus CDL Sub18 2000-Watt 18" Active Sound Reinforcement Subwoofer

Designed to complement any full-range PA loudspeaker and a perfect companion for the PreSonus CDL-series full-range loudspeakers, the CDL Sub18 subwoofer delivers a powerful, clear, and accurate low-end punch. With 2,000 watts (peak) of Class D power; a direct radiating, ported enclosure; and a custom 18-inch low-frequency transducer with 4-inch voice coil that provides 7 mm of driver travel before over-excursion, the CDL Sub18 produces detailed low frequency performance audio for mobile and installed applications.

To provide maximum versatility with full-range systems, the CDL Sub18 features a variable lowpass filter, enabling you to accurately dial in the crossover transition between the subwoofer and full-range system. Two DSP presets provide extended low-frequency performance for a more natural response to suit a variety of applications. Onboard polarity invert facilitates cardioid array creation, and a Mono Mode function simplifies cabling multiple mono subs in a stereo system.

Like full-range CDL-series loudspeakers, the CDL Sub18 has a rugged, tour-grade enclosure. A locking IEC power connector, M10 rigging points, integrated castor provisions, and ground-stacking provisions make it a great choice for a wide variety of mobile and install applications. One XLR line-level input and one XLR direct line-level output are provided to connect full-range systems or multiple subwoofers in larger systems.

With flexible connectivity; a rugged, tour-grade enclosure; and generous Class D power, the CDL Sub18 delivers the versatility and punch expected from today’s professional sound systems and is an excellent solution for permanent installations. Yet it’s also portable, making it a top choice for tours and other mobile use. Although designed to complement CDL-series full range loudspeakers, the CDL Sub18 is also an excellent companion for third party loudspeakers thanks to its onboard variable lowpass filter. The CDL Sub18 delivers outstanding low-end clarity and natural music reproduction.

The CDL Sub18 is equipped with M10 rigging points for suspended installation. PreSonus recommends the use of the M10-AI Kit. A minimum of four suspension points must be used per speaker to safely suspend the CDL Sub18.

Do not suspend additional loudspeakers or other items from the CDL Sub18.

A screw-lock pole cup is also provided to support a top-mounted full-range enclosure for ground-stacked applications. When used with any full-range CDL-series loudspeaker, PreSonus supports a maximum sub pole height of 31 inches. Other configurations have not been tilt-tested for safety and should be managed with caution.
