The "Texas Tea" finish on this one is extremely unique. It's really hard to explain... In photos, like the ones you see here, it looks almost black, but in person, it's a gorgeous metallic dark brown with an almost irridescent quality to it that seems to change based on the angle you look at it. It looks just like a flowing liquid in the way it seems to "move", which is where the color's name comes in.

Elevating the J-Bass platform to new heights, this tasteful axe - adorned with high-end appointments like a gold anodized pickguard, black pearloid block inlays and binding on the Maple fingerboard - features an intuitive new control layout with a redesigned preamp to allow you access to the finest of onboard tone-tweaking - and it looks awesome, as well!

As a spiritual successor to the "American Deluxe" series of past years, the Ultra J-Bass features a compound-radius fretboard, which makes high-register lead playing phenomenally comfortable, not to mention even easier laying down of tight rhythms and intricate grooves.
