As premier Ibanez dealers, we're proud to present this Ibanez Gary Willis Signature GWB205 in a contemporary but absolutely classic Tequila Sunrise Flat finish! Gary Willis is a true virtuoso on the bass who is known the world over as a venerable fusion bassist both as a solo performer, a member of the band Tribal Tech, as well as a frequent collaborator with some of the industry's biggest names. As a discerning player and gear savant, he turned to Ibanez to help him create instruments that suited his preferences and playing perfectly. The GWB205 is no exception.

This bass features a toneful ash body, beautiful fretless ebony fingerboard on a 3-ply maple neck and strap buttons that allow for ergonomic adjustment of the bass' overall balance while playing with a strap. Electronically, it's loaded with an amazing-sounding Bartolini® GWB pickup in the bridge bolstered by a Bartolini® NTBT 2-band EQ system. This instrument also features Willis' signature "Willis ramp" that keeps the right hand in optimal playing position for a lighter touch and faster playing.

With a career spanning more than 40 years, Gary Willis has released 5 solo CD's, 10 as co-leader of Tribal Tech and has been a part of a multitude of other projects including playing alongside Wayne Shorter, Allan Holdsworth, Hubert Laws and many others. His own works include legends Dennis Chambers, Steve Tavaglione, Bob Berg, Gergo Borlai, Kirk Covington and Scott Kinsey.

Ebony Fretboard - Ebony produces a tight low and mid range with an iconic attack on the high end. It also features a quick response and rich sustain.

Finger Ramp - The detachable finger ramp, designed by Gary Willis, encourages players to not "dig in too deep" and allows a more consistent attack with quick recovery time.
