Feast your eyes on this absolutely stunning Mayones Aquila Aged V24 S 6! Finished in a beautiful Liquid Red Gloss, this is a double-humbucker version of the Aquila that Mayones released in 2020. The new pickguard-less design shows off the gorgeous hand-aged Monolith Metallic Olive Nitro that hearkens back to vintage axes of yesteryear nicely.

The build quality is every bit what we've come to expect from Mayones - masterful from top to bottom. The fretwork is incredible, and the recessed Gotoh 510 tremolo allows for freakishly low action and a smooth response. The wenge neck feels silky-smooth, and the rosewood fingerboard is of the utmost quality. The TEW roasted maple neck is super-fast to maneuver on, but is also not paper-thin. It has a bit of a more traditional C-shaped neck than many of Mayones' shred-oriented builds.

For this model, Mayones has introduced new proprietary Velvetrone pickups for their guitars alongside their venerable Velvetrone bass pickups. This Aquila features the phenomenal Ironside bridge & Solium neck set. The Ironside bridge pickup is ripping and aggressive with high output, focused midrange, and powerful highs and lows - just the way we like it! The Solium neck is smooth, warm, and rich, perfect for vocal-like lead tones and shimmering clean tones.

Although vintage-inspired and a friendly transition for guitarists preferring a more traditional guitar feel in hand, this is definitely not your father's S-style guitar - it's even better. If you want to get dirty with it, it can do that. If you want to clean it up, it'll handle that as well.
