As premier Mayones dealers, we're stoked to present this custom-ordered Mayones Regius Core Classic 8 guitar in a breathtaking Galaxy Eye Aquamarine Gloss finish! This one has a slew of custom upgrades, including the beautiful finish, the Exotic I multi-ply neck, the gorgeous binding on the neck and headstock, a stunning 5A Quilt Maple top, and a Tone Enhanced Wood (T.E.W.) Swamp Ash body.

The Regius line provides an excellent balance between classic design and modern tone. While this guitar is clearly still geared towards metal and "djent" players, the body shape is softer than other Mayones styles and evokes a certain retro vibe for an overall more understated look. While this guitar is still going to be a contemporary head-turner - I mean, just look at it! It's gorgeous! - the angles on the body, the beautifully-executed binding, and the 5A quilted maple arched top will feel more familiar to players accustomed to more traditional axes of old.

The 8-string neck feels absolutely amazing, regardless of whether you're mainly a 6-string player or have been playing extended range guitars for a while. The idea behind this model is to suit Mayones' tradition of aggressive tone while keeping one foot in the more traditional and vintage tonal spectrum. We truly think Mayones managed to pull that off - the custom-wound, Mayones-exclusive Bare Knuckle TKO pickup set, while designed for high-gain chug, surprised the players here at the shop with their awesome clarity on cleaner settings, especially with the coil-split on the volume control. Of course, the TKOs excelled the most at distorted riffage, and we were very pleased with how both single notes and chords sounded huge without getting muddy, especially on the lower strings - they absolutely nailed the combination of scale length, neck profile and pickup voicings to keep the guitar feeling and sounding both tight and effortless to play.
