Player's Perspective

Paoletti guitars are absolutely extraordinary boutique guitars with a unique take on a tried and true, classic design. The golden brass pickguard and stunning aging on this one's simple but classically beautiful Cream white finish are very artistically done, and the brass hardware and knobs put a really classy touch on the instrument - almost a "Mary Kaye"-esque look.

The playability is absolutely off the charts. The roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard make clear that they're handmade, as the meticulous attention to detail in crafting them is immediately evident. The fretwork, which needs to be of the highest standard for a guitar of this price point, more than meets expectations - the craftsmanship is something to marvel at and the neck is expertly carved from top to bottom.

Tonally, this guitar is an old-school hot-rodded "S" type axe through and through. It's vintage in tone and modern in feel. The bridge pickup is nice and bright while having some great fullness and body to it. It'll handle distortion really well and can hit your pedals and amp with some solid punch to retain definition even when heavily saturated. The neck pup is rich, warm, and creamy. The middle gives you some twang and spank while still having a good bit of bass response as well. The pickups are hand-wound, which gives them a lot of the same sort of magic that was found in some of the most iconic guitars of yesteryear.

Handmade in Italy by master builder Paoletti Fabrizio, these really are special instruments that have that "masterbuilt" vibe, and this one is no exception. This is much more than just a cool instrument to look at. It's a guitar that really gets the job done and sounds absolutely phenomenal!
