Sandberg Guitars was founded back in 1986 by Holger Stonjek and Gerd Gorzelke. Since then, they have been producing hand-made instruments at the highest quality. This bass features Sandberg's California body shape. The body is made out of paulownia and the neck is Canadian hard rock maple. Sandberg Black Label pickups and a custom wound Glockenklang 2-band preamp, made just for Sandberg, round out the electronics.

I was a little hesitant just because a bass at 6.1lbs is not something I’m used to but this bass is amazing. Highs, mids, and lows all cut thru the bass is easy to play and is super lightweight which is what I needed since I play about 3 gigs a day 4-5 times a week. My back is graciously loving this instrument.
