PLAYER'S PERSPECTIVE

Everything from the way this gorgeous Schecter USA Keith Merrow KM-7 MK-III looks, to the way it plays and feels, to the way it sounds is just awesome! From its aesthetics to its searing tone, this aggressive axe really has it going on.

The neck, along with looking great, is a multi-ply design to help with its structural integrity and rigidity. But just to make sure that you don't have to worry about your neck moving on you too much through changes in humidity and temperature, Schecter also included graphite rods in the neck. Not only does it make the neck more stable, but helps eliminate any possible ghost notes or wolf notes that can sometimes exist on a fretboard. Finished off with some great fretwork, you can really dial in some freakishly low action on this guitar.

Keith Merrow spec'd out his signature Fishman Fluence 7-string pickups for this guitar, and they sound incredible! We're huge fans of the Fishman Fluence pickups, in general, here at the store and we really think they're revolutionizing the game. These really are pickups that will give you a wide array of sounds without any extra noise and without any compromise of the quality of the tone.

Whether you're going for modern musical applications, a more vintage sound, or want this to sound like a single-coil guitar, the Merrow pickups deliver all of those in a shockingly convincing and authentic manner. You can choose between 3 different distinct and musical voices... First off, you've got a medium output setting for when you want to kick things up a notch. That's Keith's main setting/voice that he uses. There's also a low output PAF-like voicing that provides a different vibe reminiscent of the humbucker guitars of the 1950s. Lastly, the third voice gives your guitar a genuine single-coil sound with that crystal clear and glassy top-end but without any of the hum and noise.
