Built in the good ol' USA in Lake Elsinore, CA by some of the finest luthiers in the western hemisphere, this Standard HSS is an absolutely smokin' guitar. The playability and feel of the roasted maple neck is simply divine. The satin feel of the wood lets you fly up and down the neck without any stickiness whatsoever, and if you're a Suhr veteran, this should be nothing new to you - it can be argued that Suhr has been a pioneer in making roasted maple popular in recent years. The even C slim neck shape is lightning-fast and thin without feeling like you're holding a toothpick.

The pickups in this one, the classic V60s and the hotter-wound SSH+ humbucker, have a little more edge than their Classic brethren's usual configuration of V60LPs and an SSV humbucker, but the Standard's set is still capable of dialing up a vintage tone without issue, whilst still allowing you to delve into some aggressive modern sounds.
